Ullapool is the gateway to the North West Highland Geopark - an area decribed as the "Cradle of Geology" and home to some amazing mountains and geological features. There is a visitor centre at Knockan Cliff..

Ullapool Museum

Situated in a renovated 'Telford Church', the museum offers an insight into the history and culture of Loch Broom and Ullapool. Good language support and census/parish records.

Wildlife Tours

As well as wildlife and nature all around us, tour boats from Ullapool Harbour visit the Summer Isles encountering sea birds, seal, whale and dolphin and a pair of White Tailed Sea Eagles that nest nearby. You will no doubt encounter highland wildlife just getting here!

Pipe Band

The Ullapool and Loch Broom Youth Pipe Band have gained an award winning international reputation and play and perform in and around the village throughout the summer along with local Highland dancers.

Golf

A nine hole course in the village offers a friendly welcome and some stunning scenery to play in. On the shore of Loch Broom, you can watch fishing boats and cruise boats pass as you play.

Climbing
